You need all the associated wiring harnesses and pcm to support the 5.7. Hemi is stock, ho has a powerstick exhaust and is superchips tuned A2005 4.7 grand cherokee and the 2006 5.7 commander i can not find the wire diagram anywhere.

Btw the '12 wk2 5.7 averages two mpg more the '99 which is pretty amazing considering the overland summit weighs 1100 lbs more but also has a lower drag coefficient. It's a bit more complicated that just dropping the 5.7 in and plugging it into your current truck. The 4.7 seemed quicker from stoped, but it has cable throttle where the hemi has fly by wire so it has a slight lag but is noticable.

Component breakdown 5.7 hemi engine. But if that were the only cost factor, it would be an easy choice. It's not plug and play with your 4.7 pcm.

Race from a 20mph roll between the hemi wk and my old overland ho. It’s hard to find a good 4.7, which makes it hard to sell a vehicle with a bad 4. But swapping the engine, transmission, and electronics could work.
